About Anna

I’m Anna (pronounced AH-NAH), licensed counselor, certified trauma sensitive yoga facilitator and trained EMDR therapist. My work centers around the belief that we humans are capable of living full, vibrant and authentic lives but also that we aren’t meant to build those alone.

My clinical practice is inspired by studying a variety of different therapy styles and over two decades of engaging in contemplative and meditation practices, as well as Yoga, Pilates and dance. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, and Relational Cultural Theory.

My own life experiences, including growing up as a child immigrant facing social and systemic challenges, inspired me to become a therapist. Much of my own healing happened (and continues to happen) working with my own providers but also through building and establishing healthier relationships and embodied practices that continue to nurture me. Working with me means knowing that you’re being supported by someone who takes their own wellbeing seriously and who practices what they “preach” (not that I’m much for preaching!).

When I’m not working, I’m usually trying to navigate the nuances of supporting my human and canine family members, but when I’m not doing that, I’m usually curled up with a book, engaging with art, or spending time in nature. My favorite pastime is solo hiking with spontaneous dancing on moss.
